Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 June 2026

This page is maintained by Southern Alpha to explain how we handle reader data. It is not legal advice. If you operate in a jurisdiction with stricter rules, treat them as the floor.

What we collect

When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address and the source of the signup (which page or campaign brought you in). When you visit the site we collect standard server logs — IP address, user agent, referrer, page viewed — and a randomly generated session ID stored in your browser to deduplicate article view counts.

How we use it

  • Send you our weekly newsletter and lead-magnet downloads.
  • Measure which articles and calculators get used (aggregate analytics only).
  • Keep the site secure and diagnose technical issues.

We do not sell your email or personal data to third parties. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Who we share it with

Email delivery and database hosting are handled by Lovable Cloud and our email service provider. These vendors process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments.

Cookies

We use a single first-party identifier in your browser's local storage to deduplicate article views. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles (and equivalents in your jurisdiction) you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email privacy@southernalphafinance.com. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.

Children

This site is not directed at people under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we materially change this policy we'll update the "last updated" date and, for newsletter subscribers, notify you by email.
